Billiard Mechanic Assistant

We are looking for hard working and professional additions to our Warehouse Team. So, what is the position? A Mechanic Assistant is responsible for assisting the Lead Billiard Mechanic with managing the deliveries, installs, and service appointments. This includes carrying product into the house, performing mechanical tasks with gameroom furniture assembly, and assisting the Lead Billiard Mechanic in performing any other duties to complete the appointment successfully. We are always accepting resumes for part-time and full-time positions.

Location
  • The role will be based at our Farmers Branch store (near 635 and 35).
  • Much of the work will performed in the customers’ homes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with completed deliveries, installations, and service of all gameroom products, including billiard tables, shuffleboard tables, foosball tables, furniture, air hockey tables, ping pong tables, and more.
  • Help maintain an organized warehouse, including the labeling of all products.
  • Assist with loading trucks in the morning.
  • Pick up inventory from local vendors.
  • Assist with the placement, installation, and store transfer of used tables across all showrooms.
  • Assist Lead Mechanic with navigation to and from various jobs.

Qualifications
  • Mechanical experience and expertise (billiards experience preferred, general or specific mechanical experience mandatory)
  • Candidates must be ‘handy’ and know their way around tools
  • Professional communication skills (with colleagues, customers, etc.)
  • Keen attention to detail (double checks work, thinks and plans ahead)
  • Positive attitude and desire to serve others

Special Considerations
  • This position includes factors for mental and physical demands as well as environmental factors. To name a few, there will be frequent walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching, heavy lifting and carrying. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions; outside and inside; on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, ladders, and scaffolding; and around machinery with moving parts. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, excessive noises, fumes, and toxic chemicals.

  • Game Room Design & Planning
  • Greet customers
  • Educate and engage customers on promotions
  • Assist with checking out customers (small orders)
  • Assist with answering phone calls, taking phone messages, and transferring calls to the appropriate staff member
  • Keep store organized and clean throughout the day
  • Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with colleagues
  • Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly
  • Observe and learn about our products and industry

  • The role may be based at our Plano Showroom (near 121 and Preston).

  • Establish and maintain open communication with customers via phone and email.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with colleagues.
  • Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
  • Demonstrate the ability to design and sell residential game room and home theater using technical and creative skills.
  • Effective approach in furniture sales, customer service, communication and organizational skills.
  • Professionally greet customers in the showroom and establish rapport.
  • Master product knowledge to explain benefits and features on all store merchandise.
  • Understand customer needs and guide customer through purchasing decision.
  • Educate and engage customers on promotions.
  • Organize all follow up with customers and potential customers.

  • Professional references related to sales experience
