Warranty Information

Warranty Introduction

When you shop at Universal Billiards, you get the peace of mind that our selection of products is a carefully curated collection that offers the best quality, value, and selection in the industry. As a part of that selection process, we seek games and furniture with robust manufacturer warranty policies that establish confidence in the product.

If there’s a defect in something purchased from Universal Billiards, we want to be your first point of contact. In many situations, we will coordinate the repair or replacement of defective parts with the manufacturer. We do our best to be your first and only contact for a warranty claim, but if we do need to put you in direct contact with the manufacture, we will do everything we can to help make that process as quick and straightforward as possible.

Below we’ve outlined general manufacturer’s warranty for each department, exclusions to manufacturer warranties, and how to start a claim.

Pool Tables

Pool tables purchased, delivered, and installed by Universal Billiards carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty from the date of original purchase by the consumer. The manufacturer will either repair or replace the part(s) proven to be defective as established per the following:

  1. Table cabinet, rails, blinds, legs, and internal support system: Lifetime guarantee to be free from splitting or cracking.
  2. Rail Cushions: Lifetime guarantee against separation, dry rot, or hardening.
  3. Slate: Lifetime Guarantee from chipping, cracking, or warping.
  4. Hardware: Five (5) year warranty on all hardware and metal parts.
  5. Cloth and pockets: Manufacturer’s warranty does not cover the repair or replacement of the billiard table's cloth or pockets.
  6. This warranty does not cover table leveling or shifting.

Shuffleboard Tables

Shuffleboard tables purchased, delivered, and installed by Universal Billiards carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty from the date of original purchase by the consumer. The manufacturer will either repair or replace the part(s) proven to be defective as established per the following:

  1. Table cabinet, legs, and internal support system: Lifetime guarantee to be free from splitting or cracking.
  2. Playfield: Polymer coating has a lifetime guarantee against cracking or fogging.
  3. Hardware: Five (5) year warranty on all hardware and metal parts.
  4. This warranty does not cover table leveling or shifting.

Air Hockey

Air Hockey tables purchased, delivered, and installed by Universal Billiards carry a one (1) year warranty for parts and materials only from the date of original purchase by the consumer.

Foosball Tables

Foosball tables purchased, delivered, and installed by Universal Billiards carry a one (1) year warranty for product defects from the date of original purchase by the consumer.

Table Tennis

Table Tennis tables purchased, delivered, and installed by Universal Billiards carry a one (1) year warranty for product defects from the date of original purchase by the consumer.

Arcades

Arcades, slot machines, pinballs, skeeballs, and jukeboxes purchased, delivered, and installed by Universal Billiards carry a thirty (30) day warranty for product defects from the date of original purchase by the consumer.

Media/Theater Seating

Media or theater seating purchased, delivered, and installed by Universal Billiards carries a Limited (2) year Warranty for product defects from the date of original purchase by the consumer. The manufacturer will either repair or replace the part(s) proven to be defective as established per the following:

  1. Wood frame and spring system: Free from defects not otherwise related to misuse.
  2. Motion reclining mechanisms: Free from defects not otherwise related to misuse.
  3. Seat and back cushions: Free from defects not otherwise related to misuse.
  4. Electrical components and controls: Free from defects not otherwise related to misuse.

Furniture

Furniture purchased, delivered, and install by Universal Billiards carries a ninety (90) day warranty for product defects from the date of original purchase by the consumer. Furniture includes but is not limited to: bar stools, pub tables, spectator chairs, benches, cue racks, corner shelves, and wall shelves.

Accessories

With the exception of luxury cues, accessories do not come with a warranty.

Exclusions

  1. Universal Billiards does not warranty finish issues, dings, dents, scratches or any other signs of wear on the finish of the product.
  2. The warranty on leather, bonded leather, fabric, and vinyl coverage does not include natural markings, shrinkage, stretching, or variations in grain or color, which occur naturally and prove the authenticity of the leather. Fabric fading, pilling, shrinkage, stretching, wearing quality and color fastness are not covered by this warranty.
  3. Subsequent owners: Universal extends this warranty only to the original owner, and only when purchased from Universal Billiards.
  4. Damage caused by factors other than manufacturer's materials or workmanship: Universal Billiards does not extend warranty coverage to repairs or replacements as a result of abuse, neglect, alteration, misuse, storms, electrical or power voltage issues, sunlight, extreme cold or heat, humidity, flood, fire, earthquake or other act of nature, abnormal playing conditions, or accidental damage.
  5. The manufacturer warranty is void if anyone other than Universal Billiards services or installs any product purchased from Universal Billiards.
  6. This warranty does not require the replacement of the entire product but does cover the repair or replacement of any defective parts.
  7. Warranty claims do not cover labor, shipping, or mileage fees for service outside of the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.
  8. Product sold “as is” or “final sale” does not include any warranties unless otherwise explicitly stated on the Sales Receipt or Sales Order.

Claims Process

All warranty claims must be emailed to claims@universalbilliards.com and accompanied by sufficient digital photo documentation along with a brief explanation of the issue. Please be sure to include the date of purchase and the name of the purchaser.

Our Claims Department will review your claim and respond promptly. Please allow at least 5-7 business days for an initial response. Our goal is to find a quick resolution to the issue, but sometimes this process can take some time. If there’s anything we can do to expedite the process, our team will advocate for expedited service from the manufacturer.

In many situations, we will coordinate the repair or replacement of defective parts with the manufacturer. We do our best to be your first and only contact for a warranty claim, but if we do need to put you in direct contact with the manufacture, we will do everything we can to help make that process as quick and straightforward as possible.
