We mean our own team (including owner, Daniel) of expert billiards mechanics personally loads up one of our branded delivery vans at our Dallas workshop and drives it straight to your home, no matter how many miles or mountain ranges stand in the way.
Recently, Daniel and Evan embarked on an epic cross-country journey to deliver handcrafted game rooms to customers who trusted Universal Billiards to do the job right. Driving straight through the heart of the American Northwest and navigating some of the most challenging terrain in the country, this is the story of their journey.
Cliffside Challenges in Sagle, Idaho
The journey took the team into Sagle, Idaho, to an absolutely stunning cliffside home overlooking Lake Pend Oreille. While the scenery was incredible, the installation environment presented a massive physical hurdle. The game room was located in a lower level accessible only by a set of incredibly steep, narrow, outdoor stone steps cutting down the hillside.
Daniel and Evan had to manually navigate a 300-pound solid slate bed down every single one of those stone steps. Thanks to decades of technical experience and pure determination, they got it down safely without a single scratch to the home or the equipment. The ultimate reward was installing an 8-foot Custom Texas pool table (hand-built by our Dallas woodworkers) directly in front of a massive wall of windows overlooking the water. On the drive out, the guys caught a beautiful sunset view of Grand Teton National Park as well.
A Double Delivery in Roberts, Montana
Next, the van rolled into Roberts, Montana, located just outside of Yellowstone National Park. This property featured a majestic landscape that looked like it belonged on the cover of a luxury architectural magazine. For this room, the client went big, ordering two matching showroom pieces: an 8-foot Custom Texas pool table and a matching 12-foot Texas Shuffleboard.
Both unique, heirloom-quality pieces were built from scratch by our craftsmen in Texas, and both are now proudly living in the Big Sky State. After completing the final meticulous setup, Daniel and Evan earned a quick stop to take in the wonders of Yellowstone and the surrounding countryside before beginning the long drive back home to Dallas.
